I have built scenery for Live Theatre, Film and Commercial production since 1984. I worked for a local production company as a Scenic Carpenter from 1984-1995. I was the construction coordinator for the same company from 1995-1998. During my tenure I ran what I call a friendly/educational shop. I have many friends that are actors in the area and they needed extra work to make ends meet. I taught many of them how to build scenery. The result was as rewarding to myself as to them. I have been an independent cabinet maker/designer since.
